Norfolk Ghostbusters 5th Birthday

5 years… what a ride! Honestly, we can’t quite believe what we’ve achieved in that time. When this all started, we probably didn’t realise just how many proton packs, late nights, questionable internet searches for obscure parts, and cries of “WHO DESIGNED THIS THING?!” would be involved. 😂 But here we are… five years later and still crossing the streams! Over those five years we’ve: 👻 Raised £1000s for charitable causes, which will always be one of the things we’re most proud of. 🚫 Built up one of the largest Ghostbusters displays around, with enough equipment to make Walter Peck start asking some very uncomfortable questions. 🧊 Had our Garraka featured on ghostbustersNews.com — and, even better, it was the first Garraka in the world to appear at a convention! 🚗 Built and displayed plenty of props that are completely unique to us, including items where we’re the only ones in the UK to have them, such as our Gunner Seat. 🔧 Spent FAR too much time researching tiny, obscure parts to make our props as accurate as possible. We’ve probably spent more hours identifying switches, knobs, hoses and bits of 1980s machinery than any sensible human being ever should. 🎟️ Attended hundreds of events, meeting thousands of amazing people along the way. 🏢 Exhibited at MCM Comic Con as we celebrated our third birthday, which was an incredible milestone for us. And behind all of that have been the late nights, the builds that didn’t quite go to plan, the parts that refused to fit, the blood, sweat and tears… and probably enough hot glue, filler and swearing to open our own containment unit. But every single bit of it has been worth it. Because everything above is really just the icing on the Stay Puft cake. The most important part of Norfolk Ghostbusting has always been YOU. We couldn’t have done any of this without everyone who has supported us, followed us, donated, invited us to events, stopped for photos, talked Ghostbusters with us and — most importantly — kept coming back to see us. Seeing people walk away from our display with a smile on their face is how we know we’re doing something right. Whether you’ve been with us from day one or only discovered us recently, thank you. You’ve helped turn a slightly crazy Ghostbusters idea into something far bigger than we ever imagined. So here’s to 5 years of Norfolk Ghostbusting… Hundreds of events. Thousands raised for charity. Countless props. Far too many late nights. And absolutely ZERO plans to shut down the containment unit anytime soon. After all… We’re ready to believe you. 👻🚫 Here’s to the next five years!
